Clearance Letters

Hello,
I have just started up and have been asked to prepare accounts and tax returns for a friend of a friend nice and simple one. I know I have to write to their accountant requesting clearance and I just need details of the capital allowances. I am just a little uncertain exactly what to write in it. Is there a standard form that people use? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
