Cash Float

"Cash Float decreased from £1000 to £800"

On my Practice Exam I had to calculate Total Sales on one of the questions. I calculated it correctly but got it wrong as I should have deducted the £200 deduction in the Cash Float from my figure.

So does that mean if the Cash Float was increased by £200 I would add this amount to the Sales Figure?

Getting a bit confused here?:confused1:

I would say yes unless another explanation has been provided for the increase in the cash float, such as a chqeue being written to top up cash float.
