Hi i know someone called rachey have finished her dnp stimulation while ago.

We have not finished nic and othere deduction yet and thinking having exam in two weeks time like climbing a montain.

But having considered the exam tutor has said that we are allowed to have stimulation after the exam.

Now you have finished your's and have posted a thred about maternity.

Now do you remember anything else which need to know.

Whatever you know about the stimulation please let us know.

I'm afraid other than my previous threads, i cant remember much about the individual questions as i took all 3 skills tests at the same time! There was the question about the change in Maternity Leave/ Pay for that year (i think they was asking you to list the changes) and one about what types of leave there are (all leave types are covered in the employment rights act 1996) so i advise you to revise those.

The DNP skills test is basically the same as the practice ones, they give you a few people and you need to calculate their gross pay, deductions then net pay and then fill out their pay slips. It also asks you to look for errors, this may be as simple as a missing NI number or DOB etc. Its very time consuming as you need to do the step by step method of calculating tax and NI.

You're expected to know what NI table letters to use. For example contracted out salary related pension schemes use NI letter D and money purchase use table letter F. And if they're not in a pension it's table letter A.

The DNP simply gives you loads of information about employees over a few months and you need to calculate their tax and NI.

The other 2 skills tests is testing you on everything else you've learned like maternity and adoption leave. One question is a role play on a couple adopting a baby and asking what leave they were entitled to, how long for etc. You need to calculate sick pay, maternity pay and paternity pay from the information given in the task.

I did these a while ago now so i dont remember the wording on any questions, just what the basic content was.
