Help with Fixed Overheads Variances

I am in desparate need of some help with the above I have struggled for 3 weeks to do 1 part of a question for my assesment.<BR>Please is there anyone out there who can help clear the mist.I am a distance learning student and I need someone to go through the difference beteween bugeted expenditure & act expenditure capacity,vol,etc using figures I have<BR> <BR>I have passed the central assesment for RCI and this is all I need to complete to finish this topic.<BR><BR>I am finding this so difficult that I an afaraid if I dont manage to work it out to-day I will pack the whole course in and revert to being a couch potatoe.<BR><BR>Hope some can help<BR><BR><BR>Jackie

    I hope you will understand the following<BR>Standard Cost<BR>Fixed Overheads <BR>Preparation 30@ £1.09 per hr £0.55<BR>cooking 15@ £1.35 per hr £0.34<BR><BR>Budget output 3500 boxes<BR>Actual output 3660 boxes<BR><BR><BR>Actual Results <BR><BR>Prep 1750 hrs £2010<BR>cooking 900 hrs £1140<BR><BR><BR>OAR prep £0.91 OAR cooking £0.76<BR><BR>my answer is as folow<BR><BR>prep act cost £2010<BR>expenditure var (£108)(cannot remember how i got this)<BR>cap var -<BR>eff var 87<BR> £1989 (Iknow this is right)<BR><BR>but the red mist comes down when i try to do the same complet cal for cooking as I cannot rember how i got the answers <BR><BR><BR>Hope this makes sense and you can help me<BR><BR>Jackie<BR><BR>
