Same, practice practice practice.
One of the things that I find tricky is when you have to change the production levels due to constraints.
There is one particular exam paper, I think it is only a couple of years back.... Where you actually have to reschedule the production. That would be my nightmare question!
Also what throws me out a bit is in Section 2 when you have to do the flex budget. I am fine on a normal straight forward one, but I have a few problems when they include stock and start asking to show it in a contribution format.
One person I know gets 3 days off per exam, plus the exam day as study leave!.
I can just about manage to scrounge half a day per exam study leave (the actual exam day) and the rest I have to use as holiday0 -
@Chris
Yeah, that's exactly where I get stuck when you have to reschedule and do that contribution thing.Well, I'll be picking up the exam papers of 2007 and 2008 first, the format followed I think will be of the 2008 papers although you never know what's going to turn up.
That contribution thing I can see in the December 2007 PCR, it looks horrible :S0 -
have you got time off work then? I had to come back in after exams yesterday and the same on Thursday.
my work give me the day of the exam off, i have to travel 45 minutes each way - if there is an accident on the motorway it could be a 2 hour journey.
i also have a very good boss who says as long as my work is done this week, i can finish early. he knows i always stay longer if work needs to be done.
i think i am feeling a bit panicky as i put all my efforts into PEV on monday and i feel like i have not concentrated enough on this. so i have a long day and a bit ahead of me

I did too Tracy, I'm fine with flexing budgets and think section 2 is ok, it's section 1 when they give you different scenario's. Anyone got any tips??0

I know everyone says this...but I think it is incredibly important to read everything slowly and highlight important key things.
I know myself half of my mistakes come from not reading things properly and missing little things out.
also going over and looking at layouts from past exams for the rescheduling the production bit so that when the question comes up hopefully it will be easier to try and structure an answer0 -
I'm proper panicky about this pcr exam on thursday. Every time I do a past paper question, the answer is always wrong! Even when I've confidently gone through the questions! sigh... I suppose I should remember that they still give you marks for showing workings, even if you screw up the answers! There's still hope.... I just know I'm gonna get into that exam and my mind will wipe itself clean just like cleaning an etch-a-sketch board.... ziiiip! ALL GONE! AHHHHH HAHAHAH! (help)0
