I have checked my answers against Sandys but I cant see where he gets the cost reduction in 2.3
I had 600,000 selling and distrib savings
600,000 from material price as it was 1,200,000 x 50p
1,200,000 from increase in selling price by £1pound.
Total savings are £2,400,000
Sandy has £2,640,000 savings0 -
There was also a 10% material usage savingSandy

Hi Sandy,
Will you be doing the same for the PCR exam at all?
Thanks.0 -
the 10% saving doesnt say specifically for material usage does it? it just says it takes up less then 10% of volume and weight of existing?0
-
Well read
I agree with you
My answer (as I originally wrote it) assumed a % reduction of materials per unit quite wrong and not what the question had said at all as well as the reduction in the price per unit of input.
I stand corrected and apologise especially to stephdav.
I will up date my answer shortly
Thank you allSandy
