Unit 10 Project Ideas

hi all,

I'm just about to start technician level in September & would really like to get some ideas underway for the Unit 10 project!

I currently work at a small accountancy practice with 7 accounts staff (both a mixture of fully qualified ACA/ACCA & trainees ACCA & AAT). My main role at present is preparing accounts, mainly for limited companies with some sole traders & partnerships. I also prepare VAT returns and personal tax returns on occasion.

I would really like some ideas for the project as it seems the system part of the report is mainly aimed at people working in industry rather than practice. I've already had some ideas from discussion topics such as:

Amounts charged to clients;
VAT returns online (my company has just implemented this);
Expanding the business with a wider range of services.

If anyone could help out that would be great as I'd rather draw on my own experiences & knowledge than do the simulation as the college I attend encourages this.
