Can someone please clarify for me - a potential client has approached who is a director of limited company. I'm fine doing the checks for individuals - but do we need to perform checks on the company itself, or is doing checks on all the directors of the company enough?

In my work it's checks on the directors and shareholders, anyone that has control over the company really.
