    If you can't edit it you'll have to do another journal with the same date to reverse it then do the correct journal with the correct date

    You mean nominal -> journal?

    Yeah you can't edit journals, need to reverse the one with the wrong date and then the new one in with the right date.

    I think gem explains it a bit better :001_tongue:

    No problem, really need to watch with journals in sage, many a time i've had to reverse them etc due to small errors, makes the ledgers look a mess!

    Just check and double check your journals are correct before accepting them..

    I usually make a note of the audit trail number and nominal account I am correcting to make it easier to identify.

    Yeah just a description of what it's doing..

    I.e. depreciation of computers would be

    "computer depreciation charge for year" etc

    Basically a description so if an accountant etc, a year down the line, is doing the year end accounts they can understand what's going on.

    What version you using?

    Hmm might be able to in V15, not really had much use for that at work as most clients are still on 10-12!

    I've just remembered. I'm on Sage Client Manager, which is part of the Sage Bookkeepers Club, so it probably does a few extra whizzy things!!!
