P87 form

Hi, i have a new client who has some expenses he has incurred from his employment. However these total over 2500 so i need to fill a tax return and cant just file a p87 do to the new rule. I also need to claim his expenses for the previous two years when the 2500 rule what not in place. Do i need to submit returns for these years or just a p87 for each year? The expenses were over 2500 in those years aswell.
