AK, what can I say?
OMG, that just puts all our little niggles into touch...0 -
Aye, it certainly was a bit of a shock when I got a phone call at work..
I'd say i've 'accepted' it now, by that i mean i know he won't be back, and stuff...
I've still got all the newspaper articles it was in hanging on a frame in my room, along with a photo of me and him, and his arbituary (I think that's the word - the bit in the paper about the funeral etc).
Does make you think, and cherish every day you've got ...0 -

Sure is.. I like this trend to have modern songs at funerals....the words mean so much, especially of you are not religious. And if you are not then there is the big question of why.
Remember the good times you shared. Funnily enough I was just thinking this morning of a school friend who died in a car accident about this time of year, he was only 18. That was over 30 years ago. Just goes to prove your friend will not be forgotten as long as there is someone around to remember him.
" Does make you think, and cherish every day you've got ... " - so have a good drink in his memory.0 -

So sorry to hear your friend AK. My confession for the evening, I'm watching X-factor cos it's big band night, my sister passed away a couple of months ago, we used to go away together for short breaks and we had 'Fly me to the moon' played quite a few times in different parts of the world. Second contestent on sang it so was worth watching!
It's great to hear tunes that bring back good memories, keep listening, and I have to agree it was a great song that was played at your friend's funeral.
So let's raise a glass to loved ones past and present.0 -
So let's raise a glass to loved ones past and present.

I know I feel vaguely depressed when the clocks go back, I think it's the realisation that summer is now definitely over. I don't really know why we change the clocks anyway, it might make a few Jocks unhappy if we didn't but who cares about them?0
