I was still a teenager a month ago!
Have you decided on your doggie names yet?
We've had:
Duke - white lab dog
Lucy - collie x lab bitch
Meg - collie bitch
Mo - collie bitch
Ollie - collie dog
The farmer down the road from my mum and dads always calls his dog one-syllable names, apparently they respond best to one-syllable. So he's got Bob, Tom, Pip and a few others I can't remember...0 -
Lucy sounds like a good name for a golden lab/retriever bitch.
Its a possibility, thanks0 -
LUCY ??oh yeh right0
-
lol you dont like lucy? My next door neighbour had a dog called lucy0
-
no for a dog....i think lucy is very sexy name ?0
-
ah thats why you dont like it for a dog. Do you actually know anyone called lucy?0
-
maybe the puppy will be a sexy bitch!0

Whenever I need to name something, I use http://www.20000-names.com
Does exactly what it says on the tin.
I'm not actually a fan of 'people' names for animals though. I can't explain why.
How about borrowing the names of battleships for dogs? Temeraire popped into my head for some reason despite it being
i. tricky to pronounce and
ii. harder to shout.
(try it. it's based on the French word for "reckless")0 -
We had the names Susie and Hazel for our Jacks.
Now have a rather daft Wheaten Terrrier called Oakley, and a ginger tom called Humphrey.
Brothers dog is called Asha, which is kind of nice.
As for the human names given, the only one I don't know is a Barry, am married to a Dave so must make me old too :crying:0 -
well no i dont know anyone called lucy...just think it sexy !0
