I don't know what methods of reporting people use? Thinking of medium to large organisations, were you need to get up to date financial/project information out to a large number of people.
Using products like Sage, it can be a costly exercise, buying licences for enough people to log in and run reports.
An alternative I've been looking into involves buying one copy of Crystal reporting to design reports. And then use MS Silverlight to give people access to these reports, allowing them to enter the criteria and run the report they want.
Wondering if anyone else has done this, or considered it as an alternative to reporting purely through the accounts software itself?
