That's the paper I took in Dec and I passed so hopefully I may be able to help! What was it in particular that you wanted to know?0 -

Have a look at my answer on www.cxgames.co.uk/sandy

This is on an excel spreadsheet so you have the opportunity to see how the formulae have been used, and follow the logic through.

If you would like further help email me
sandy.hood@chichester.ac.uk

Sandy0 -

Hi Debi

Yeah I know what you mean.

What can I say: stop panicking and read the question - I looked at it and my head exploded. But actually it tells you exactly what to do.

Have a look at it again, with a "fresh head" it may help

I'm doing this paper in the summer and I have the answers to the Dec 03 exam.

As you will be in direct competition with me I will not be handing my answers over, to give others a helping hand.

Look after number 1.

Of course once I pass these exams I will be happy to help others who will be in my boat in Dec/June next year.

:)0 -

Im interested, what do you see as the main benefit from participating in this forum?0 -

Comfort...reassurance... knowing that you're not the only one who feels the way you do.

Just before the December exams I looked on here and in answer to somebody's plea another reader had posted a little table (noughts and crosses type grid) to help remember variances. It really helped me and I'm sure that's what got me through that exam because I couldn't for the life of me remember which to use before that. :-)

What I don't like about the site is when the results come out and a__holes gloat and mock those that haven't passed, or people who openly admit they won't help those "in competition" with them :-(

0 -

Hi Debidoo,
With the exception of Sandy the posts dont seem offer you any help at all!!! I did the paper (and passed) and remember the question well. As sum1 else has stated, it really is not that hard once you take a step back and read the question (Im not patronising you.... you will see it for yourself!!).

They give you the answer in the question really. I was TOTALLY confused when I saw the question, but then I looked at their calculation for the 18th month/ year whatever it was and all you have to do is apply the 19 rather than the 18 to the formula (it basically involves adding an identical figure to each year).

If you are still stuck I can send you a detailed breakdown of what to do. BTW my studybuddy chose the opposite formula to me and we both passed?!?!?!? so maybe it all depends on your reasoning in the "wordy" part of the question??

Hope this helps, I will apologise in advance if I have confused you further!! ;-)0 -
