Accounts for Visa Application

Hi there

I've been asked to produce some accounts (including balance sheet) for somebody who is employed and self employed to accompany a Visa application together with a covering letter.

Has anyone had any experience of this before? Just wondering if it's relatively straighforward or possibly more complex than I imagine. The person concerned has straight forward affairs and producing accounts on that basis is not a problem - it's just the visa application aspect that I'm thinking maybe problematic. The person doesn't have any accounts at present and only needs them at present for the purpose of this application.
