Brilliant.
Um....know anyone with a van?0 -
A van where tools are not kept in overnight..................0
-
DFS lol0
-
Can't remember who it is but one of the shops are advertising a new sofa in time for Christmas for ยฃ10 a month.0
-
I'm happy with Jilt's idea. After all I consider myself a rather hardened criminal type.0
-
Setting off for home in few minutes, I'll keep my eye out for a van Cullen0
-
I think you may know my very chilled and permissive Dutch cousins.0
-
I always look forward to Cullen's posts for exactly that reason AK0020

Make one ?
Cardboard boxes (number depending on what size suite), balloons (number depending on how many cushions)... and an intricate tapestry made using the fur from the thigh of a North American water shrew!
Or maybe just DFS like A-Vic said.0 -

I'm certainly interested, but is that a tenner a month for the next nine generations of your family or a ยฃ40 'death house clearance' from Cash Converters? So what if you find a pair of false teeth behind the cushions of the latter, a bargain's a bargain?0 -
Come on who do you think we are...i'd give the teeth back... A prostetic limb, now that's a different matter...well ya did say you wanted an 'Arm' chair ! (sorry!)0
-
He he he...
... of course I'd give the false teeth back to the relatives but only after I've tried them first and scared my kids.0 -
Have you tried looking in skips, some people may have thrown theirs away in anticipation of a pre christmas delivery that inevitably won't turn up.0

Are we talking about Cullen's sofa or my false teeth of the recently deceased: my imagination can apply both?0 -
Talking of false teeth......
Does anyone remember the episode of Steptoe and Son, when the Da took his teeth out to crimp the pastry on the pie he was baking?????
(God I am old)0 -
well if youve got a cat do NOT get a leather one ?0
-
SCS are the ones doing ยฃ10.00 a month lol
DFS however always cm to have a sale, I brought one their earlier this yr (in the sale!!)
The sales guy told me that they have to put the sofa on their sales list at full price for 6-8 weeks wen it is first released and then they can discount it, and alwways do. I mean have u ever seen a sofa in DFS at full price? lol The chap also said sometimes they dont even put a model in the showroom untill it reaches the discounted period lol
Happy sofa hunting!!0 -
I'd be intrigued to see the costing breakdown of a DFS sofa. Given that they must have huge overheads - a vast advertising budget, all those stores, finance costs etc - to be absorbed the cost of materials and labour must be extremely low.0

There are plenty of people doing their DFS exams in December, maybe they can help you Chris?0
