Has anyone found any easier way to register yourself and your clients for this service? were having a bit of a nightmare with it

    Can't say i've ever had a problem with it, what seems the be the problem?

    Well were just starting it so we have to registar all our clients and need all the info and according to the site we need to get them to go on-line also to give us permission and on and on

    Use the VAT online sign up link on the Business Link website and it's very simple. You can set up a Government Gateway account for your client and appoint yourself as agent. Probably one of the quickest and easiest authorisations to process (providing you have the VAT certificate handy).

    I have managed to register for vat online as an agent!, after several attempts!

    We have authority and have delt with a majority of the clients tax afairs for years (talking 60plus VAT clients) it seems daft having to go through all the rigmoral of having to do that again
