Rounding off

I sometimes round off to the wrong number i.e £312.25 should be ( according to answer book) £313. i did £312.

as a result of this i get a wrong answer, no big difference, but still its wrong. do i get penalised for this ?

    I dont think so, but to be sure you could always show the full figure in your workings and then the rounded fig as the answer. Or next to the answer in brackets put the full figure.

    I always use the roundings 0-4 as under and 5-9 as over (if that makes sense) so same as you would have rounded down.

    another question, lol!!! its just the questions drive me crazy becasue they are not specific to what they want..

    for revised prod. they ask for the new prod. of the actual unit they have changed. whey in the answer booklet do they include all of it.

    its silly things like thins i get the wrong answers.
