what is ifrs 8?

ive been all through my text and this has not been covered? also in the guidance notes for unit 11 (feb 09 edition) it doesnt show it as assessable but according to the list i have got off here it is examinable first time this dec - in my eyes that means very possibly could come up

all i have found in guidance notes is that ias 14 segment reporting is getting replaced by ifrs 8 in dec 09 but apart from that comment cant see anything else in my text of guidance notes on either ias 14 or ifrs 8!
