Hi,

I can't decide between BTC and Cash Management and was considering doing both, one with my college and the other on my own.
Has anyone done this and did you regret it ? I fear it might be too much to take in....with PEV & PCR, my project is done though...!!
Thanks !

P.S : Where have all the smileys gone ??????

Yes, we have all done two techician options. Is that what you meant to ask? You need to do two options from this list of four:

    personal tax
    business tax
    cash management
    audit

When I did technician, I did PEV and PCR in the winter sitting, then DFS, PTC and BTC in the summer.

SORRY, silly me, I meant 3 options........!! I am sitting Personal Tax this December... but cannot decide between the other two.

I thought that might have been it. You can do a third option (or even all four), if you like.

I did plan on doing Cash Management. Partly as an insurance in case I failed one of the tax exams (CMCC being skills test only). But I got lumbered with so much extra work while I was trying to do technician I didn't get a chance.

So how much of techician have you done?

Well,I am taking first exams in 2 weeks, DFS and PTC, the rest in June (PEV, PCR and BTC if I do it) and my project is already signed off.
I might try to attempt Cash m. with college as there is a skills test and BTC on my own at home and if I fail the exam, it won't be too much of a problem...
Problem is as well that I haven't decided yet to study ACCA or CIMA next year...

    Hi,
I took Cash Management, Peraonal Tax and Business Tax. Passed them all first time and do not regret doing three. The major downside is I had an exam every day on the trot for four days. I was totally stressed out.

Now going on to study ACCA.

Hi, Yes I'm doing the very same thing! I'm doing Cash Management through college and Business Tax on my own. Have my Business Tax exam in just over a week and am also taking my PEV one at the same time. Will be doing Cash Management simulation with college in January. I have been concentrating all my energy on getting through PEV and BTC exams and plan to really get into CMCC over christmas ready for January.

I also plan on doing Personal Tax and Audit after January to do exams next June.

It could all be a total disaster but so far its going ok, lots and lots of work every evening after I get the kids to bed!!

I'd go for it, the way I see it is that if I fail the business tax technically I haven't lost anything except an exam fee and lots of study time!!

    Hi

Doing cash management and PTC/BTC shouldnt proove too much of a problem. I admire anyone that can do DFS with any other subject - I'm trying to resit DFS and do BTC at the same time and it is really doing my head in!!
