Got my books today to start Diploma Level of AAT. Bit daunting as there are even more books than the last two years. Hope all you guys that have been on this level before me are prepared for all my queries over the next year!

I amdoing DFS and Personal Tax in June and MAC and Business Tax in Dec (Hopefully). What order are you doing them in?0
-
well i was planning DFS and MAC in June and then the Tax ones in December ...because i thought both books would kind of go similar?0
-
-
Nice one you two
Good luck with your next level0 -
How have you found it A-Vic?
Heavy going but slogging through, Just sat DFS and Personal Tax (forget tax deffo re-sit).
Just over 3/4 in to project and starting MAC and business tax after christmas. To be honest with work and everything else it is a very large feet but like i said very doable.
Think if you put in at least 2 hours a night study and get a good revision plan in early it will be fine, also your a smart lady0 -
Doesn't it feel good to finally post in tech/dip forums0

Got my last 2 (hopefully!!) in June, but probably will be 3 or 4 as i know i've done not so well on PEV & PCR!0

Hi folks a couple of names I recognise from other threads!
I have completed 4 of the 5 units and just waiting ECR results. To be honest as I am paying my own way and being skint I havent given the next level much of a thought as I assumed you would have to complete all levels, get your certificate, and then apply to sit exams at the Technician/Diploma level! This kind of takes me to February results day!
Is this the case? Sorry this must be a stupid question for some people reading this and please feel free to throw me an electronic snowball if this is wasting your time!! can you start the next level before having fully completed the level below??
Happy holidays folks!!!0 -

Happy holidays folks!!!
hey just so you know im doing distance learning diploma pathway and my answer is yes you can
on completion of fra and ecr in jun 09 i ordered my diploma level jul 09 even though i still had cmcc and ethics to do
i sat cmcc sim on 24th oct and was at the same time studying for dfs and btc which i sat 1st and 2nd dec
unit 15 has just been signed off 2 days ago and waiting for my dfs and btc results
im now on to unit 10 (project) and unit 17 (audit) however which im doing in tandem and aiming to have finished both by early feb and then have unit 32 (ethics) which i will do in tandem with unit 33 (mac). unit 32 can be done at either advanced cert or diploma which is why i have done it this way
with cmcc, ethics, dfs, btc, audit, mac and unit 10 i found this was best method of being able to work on more than one unit at a time
hope that helps!0 -

Hiya,
I wasnt sure either if you could move on to Diploma Level without being fully finished Advanced Certificate, as I like you am dreading the ECR results in Feb. I emailed my Tutor who said that it was OK to move on to the next level so I went ahead and ordered it. I am quite lucky as in my Employer is paying the cost of my studies. I know it must be hard if you are self-funding as Diploma is the most expensive level.
Let me know when you move on to the Diploma Level and we can try help each other.
Happy Christmas!0 -
i am funding mine as well so i am not sure now if to wait until i know ECR and FRA in Feb in case i have to resit them
this brings a question
can someone tell me how much we have to pay if we need to resit?
thanks0 -
