Happy new year to all.
instead of the old resolutions, which we will all have broken by now, instead, i am asking
what do you want to achieve by the end of the year 2010.

Thats the way I'm looking at things ... resolutions either work or they don't (mainly don't, especially the 'diet' one ...) I'm breaking mine into smaller things and then they are more easily achieved !!!
1 cancel gym membership - go to local classes instead (cheaper and nearer and more time efficient )
2 getting married in July - so that will be the biggest achievement !
3 use my MIP status to the full
4 enjoy the simpler things in life or just enjoy life (sounds corny but I think we all need to take some me time now and again at least ! and have a laugh) Life is too serious and too short ... as I have learnt from past experience.
5 writing a book is on list as well !!!
How about everyone else ?
Enjoy 2010 !!!0 -
My hoped for achievements list for 2010 would have to be:-

Purchase ledger job. Lie in tomorrow. :-).0
-
Congratulations! Purchase ledger is a nice start. Is it nearby or do you need to travel a bit for it and when can you start? Is it full time or part time? What kind of company is it?
I'm not nosey at all.... I just like to know the details :P0 -
Full time. Bus journey. I am not saying any more. I do not want to Jinx my first day!
It is snowing lightly in London and it has settled. I ought to be going out to the shops but I am just too warm at home to go anywhere!!!0 -
Bus journey is not too bad and who knows, when you get to know your colleagues a bit, maybe one or two live relatively close and can give you a lift in!
Well done!
Staying warm at home is always better than shopping!0 -

Nice one Jayne.
Hope your New years resolutions luck rubs off on the rest of us !!0 -
Thank you everyone! Now all I have to do is get through to the pesky customer service advisors at the offshore call centre for my bank without A: Being put on hold for a half an hour at premium rate and B: Being cut off by somebody who speaks very limited English after 30 seconds of conversation.0

Christmas rather messed up my fitness regime, ate way too much lovely fat and sugar filled food and hardly done any exercise at all for three weeks.0

Breakfast bloomer sandwiches at JD Wetherspoon, McDonalds medium meals and lattes all pushing my calorie intake way too high. Next thing all the shops will have bikinis and short skirts in the windows.0

It takes nine months after you got pregnant! Not sure how soon you want it, but time to hurry... :P2. Save enough to go and see my family in Spain (havent seen them since Sep 2009)
I know too well how that feels, although my parents said they would come visit for my birthday this year! So hopefully will see them in the not too distant future!0 -
