Here goes again...................need some help please.

Can anyone explain in simple terms what the constitution of a company is. I googled it but couldnt get a straight answer. It tells you how to write the constitution of a company. Is it the policy of the company I dont quite understand the meaning of the word?

For companies registered under UK's company law:

a company requires 1) Articles of associations and 2) Memorandum of Association.

1) Articles of Associations deals with internal company procedures
