I think MAC is generally considered to be extremely challenging so you may want to brush up on your skills in that area. I will be running some courses on DFS starting from March/April, though due to other commitments, I will only be running maybe 3 or 4 courses in North West/birmingham.

    Best of luck for June!!

    Best wishes

    Hi,

I don't do any form of tuition relating to any aspect of costing!! My specialisms are financial reporting and audit but if you show the determination you demonstrated in my classes in Manchester you will absolutely fly through MAC.

    Best wishes

    Hi A Vic,

Sandy Hood offers courses on this subject and we both usually post our study days up around the same time, which is about March/April time for June sessions. Keep your eye out for his posts as I believe Sandy's courses are invaluable.

    Best wishes

Primble. What makes me laugh is, the maths graduates you accuse of wasting taxpayers money, can pass those exams you've failed in their sleep.

Oh, we have one of those clever post grad guys here.
    That RowanB

    Lots of qualifications.

Mind you, Rowan could probably do it in his sleep. It has to be said.

Sorry i was busy working full time, planning a wedding, buying a house and dealing with berievement. to be honest with all that and always being nervous at exams rather than putting things into practice .
in my other posts i never said i knew and found things easy, i meerly gave my opinion on people expecting to be employed because of doing something.
my company doesnt require me to be qualified. i am just doing it off my own back to put me in a better position in the future.

i am also doing it distant learning, diploma pathway and find the text books dont explain things clearly all of the time. but hey thats what this forum is for and the help is greatly appreciated

    Hi Primble,

A lot can depend on the books, overall on this forum, I think the osbourne books are considered highly, same with the BBP and Kaplan tho, so it might be worth if you have one of the books, to take a look at one of the others, to see if they explain it better.

For the rest, I would say, ask lots of questions here when you got them, use google or another search engine for things, it might help. And don't give up! I'm sure you can do it and yes, having the time to study greatly helps!

Dont know if I have missed something here but are you saying that the Technician Level exams are easy cause if you are I think you have insulted a lot of people including me who are studying for this qualification. It takes a lot of effort and dedication to study for the AAT and it IS NOT an easy qualification to do.

Besides that RowanB if the exams were so easy, why arent you prepared to continue with AAT, as you say it should be a breeze for you with your mathemat-statistical or whatever abilities. Finishing the course adds strings to your bow and looks better to any employer, than "I tried it but it was beneath me, so i quit!".

I'm not finishing it because I can't afford it. Simple as. Difficulty isn't a factor. I don't think it's difficult. Would have been a bonus to have finished it though, yes.

Yeah, I agree. I made an arrogrant and facietious remark. Bit like Primble's small-minded, anti-graduate bigotry when he/ she came out with pathetic claptrap, insinuating that I've wasted taxpayers money and 'don't know how the world works'.

Guess we wont be hearing much more from you then. it is a shame because i think its healthy people have opinions and think you probably will go far. i am not against graduates as know it means people work hard and could do the job. i just dont like it when some grads expect to fall into a job.

I am at the stage when a lot of people i used to know are in their final year at uni. they looked down at me for not going, then will expect the job with no experience just because they have a degree. if you have both it counts for a lot.

i also feel you are in a better position going through aat rather than an accounting degree, purly because of the hands on experience.

i just feel i am in a better position experience wise then they are as i have the best of both worlds

all the best. i hope you can find some way of getting funding so you can continue this worthwhile course.
