It is quite difficult to get up to managerial level in practice and you can only do that by good old-fashioned hard graft (as in any job). Difficult: yes, impossible: no.

Amen
Also steve do you find empolyee retention pretty bad - we do.
Gylnis this is not an attack but you come across very negative and anything that is said to you that you disagree with is acording to you is wrong.
These people to whom you said are misguided work in an accountants office so i think they may have a little bit more knowlege than you. It is pretty difficult to get to manager level as they would more than likely advertise internally for them positions.0 -

You are not guaranteed anything in life and maybe you are having no luck with the agencies as they are being given information that is not supported at an interview level?
I have had problems with agenices yes, but once I have got the interview the organisation are aware of the problems and in 5 minutes it is sorted out. Reason that it never proceeded any futher was because I did not have the experience that was required. Many companies still look for experience as well as a peice of paper.
Further more as many people have already explained to you - many employers expect a large contribution towards your costs and that you sign a contract that you will work for them for X years before you are able to leave. Any stray from this contract and there is normally a large financial implication.
Industry private public whomever you choose they will be looking for a candidate who wants to work for their company and not help with fees as it is too expensive. If you mention in an interview you are moving for money or the costs are getting more difficult to manage some dont regard this in a high stead, it shows lack of planning.
Where I currently work they look for hard workers - people who go that little bit further (and a sense of humour ).
Maybe you need to reassess what jobs you are applying for. And actually Glynis you can get jobs without an agency. maildrop. Some employers do employ like this as the think someone has gone that little bit further and taken the time to get incontact directly. Make sure that you call and get the name of someon to make it look professional. I tried this & had a response from all the companies I applied to.
Glynis this may sound like I am having a go, I am genuinely am not, I believe that you are asking for help, and the guise of written word has not shown you in a favourable light.0 -

I completely agree. Glynis you really do have to go that extra mile. I dont know if you meant it exactly as you put it, but it does sound like you are looking for a company 'just' for help with your studying!
Have you tried to find any voluntary work ?
Keep trying and hopefully you can start a thread this year letting us all know about your new job !!
GOOD LUCK0
