I have a friend who has a tax return to complete. Her limited company ceased trading in Jul 09. In the tax year she hasn't taken a salary or any dividends. She has no income to speak of. Does she still have to complete the return or send in a nil return?

I believe that if she has been requested to do a tax return she must do a nill return.
probably best to do a nill return either way imo0 -
Also if the person is now no longer going to receive an income that warrents a tax return i would then send a letter to their tax office informing them that they no longer need to complete a self assessment return.0
