A quick question in response to a friend's enquiry last night. Can we sign them as members? I'm happy to do a friend a favour if I can and save him the £80 his doctor is charging...Thanks all

I have done without any problems. A full list of professionals can be found on the below link.

I’m happy to confirm that it has always been the case that any AAT licensed accountant can countersign a passport application providing they meet the Home Office requirements which are that;
• You have known the applicant for at least 2 years
• You believe that all the information the applicant has put on the form is true
• You live in the UK
• You have a British passport yourself
This is because accountancy is a “recognised profession”
You do NOT need to be a Chartered accountant.0
