I am trying to deal with my job using the resources available which are the forums so surely this isn't a bad thing. I don't demand steve answer my posts.
Surely quoting WTF to someone who has given you the answere to your original thread is not very professional or respectfull in fact it is down right rude.
If I had not seen some of your earlier threads I would think by the content of your replies that you are one of those nasty hackers that appear on here from time to time, and that the polite forum members do not need.
If you don't understand your role and what is being requested by the auditors then surely you need to ask a manager or company accountant to explain this to you...and I am sure you would not be as rude to them....or as suggested just google it.
You say you don't demand that Steve anwers your posts....but when he doesn't answer them quickly you are ready with a sarcastic comment....learn some manners.0 -
Unbelievable.
Unfortunately with Glynis, RowanB (my current stalker) and RichardK now so rudely prominent on the forums of late, it appears the lunatics really have taken over the asylum. I've become so frigging sick of the general lack of gratitude and respect - and from this uber sad trio especially - I'm largely staying away from now on which will no doubt please them.0 -

I was so tempted earlier tonight to post a reply to this thread but as I generally stay out of threads like this keeping my opinions to myself I decided against it. Now having seen Di's response who usually trys to bring calm to a thread like this I had to say how I agree wholeheartedly with her comments.
Glynis are you for real or do you just post on here for the fun of it to see how much you can wind someone up? I find it hard to believe that a student would continue to post such comments time and time again.0 -
If you have not already completed Unit 32, I suggest you read it very carefully, if you have I suggest you read it again.
The ethic of professional behaviour is one you dont seem to understand, an attitude like yours does not enhance the reputation of the profession.
Demanding immediate replies and showing disrespect to people that have only ever tried to help you and have a far superior knowledge is not even basic manners let alone professional behaviour.0 -
I'm with you Jil & Diane, think this isn't for real. Who posts about a work based problem 6pm on a Sunday and expects an answer within the hour?
Maybe the lunatics haven't taken over the asylum, but "glynis" on this thread has......hasn't she?????
No doubt it will be reported tomorrow and removed.0 -

I apologise if my posts have offended anybody. I did not intend to upset anyone least of all steve who I hold in high regard. I am so stressed at the moment with work and trying to find a new job it has come out in My posts.0

As you can access the forums, surely that means Google is available too?
Steve made the effort of posting these links, so you can do some research, which is good, but you can't expect a one line answer to a question what a cash flow statement is.
There are quite a few answers given in this thread to your questions, from what a cash flow statement is, to what the terms Steve used mean.
Forums are great as a source of information if you need help, but you got to realize that there are more sources that you could use for this.
As you stated it was quite urgent before you got a reply, I would suggest to search online, as you're not depending on anyone else's time schedule.I apologise if my posts have offended anybody. There are a lot of people stressed and in general, taking it out in posts is not the best way to deal with this. I would recommend to go for a run, buy yourself a punching bag or some other way to burn that energy away, instead of taking it out on other people by accident.
Please Glynis, take a deep breath before posting, when you feel frustrated. I try to do it too. And even though it doesn't always help, it does tend to help in 9 out of 10 cases.
Cheers,
Rinske0 -

Some of us can only learn by getting others advice. Steve has never objected to offering me or anyone else on here help. I don't see anyone else getting constantly told off for asking questions which will go to helping my future.
Why the constant witchunt?0 -

as i do disagree with the wording used by glynis her latest point is very true can we please put a stop to this witch hunt (yes a witch hunt) she has apologized for her actions. any new students to the forums will read this and think twice about posting a question.
Lets just let this thread take its natural death0 -
yawn
I agree with letting the thread die and that witch hunts are rarely pleasant.
However, as an infrequent poster and longtime lurker, it is disturbing to see the way that three particular members have tarnished the atmosphere on certain parts of this board in recent weeks/months.
Some of it has been intentional and some of it unintentional. Although Glynis's contributions fall into the latter category, they are still consistently awe-inspiring in their seemingly total lack of awareness.
I have just started DFS and her demands on certain members of this forum has practically put me off ever posting a genuine question.
It may be a 'yawn' to you, but there is a purpose to it.0 -

and my point is treat these threads with the respect they desierve and ignore them. As i did mention on my thread previous to the last it does nothing to new posters like yourself but course harm.
Having just sat dfs i understand the difficulties facing yourself am deffo no expert (leave that for steve) but if at all can help please feel free to post or pm.
now can we please move on0
