im half way through studying this unit and im hating it and maybe im over complicating it but struggling with it a bit no way can i remember all that - well not as well as i need to

is the simulation pretty standard?what is always asked? what must i be able to do/know without fail?

bpp student section for the unit does appear to have extra sims/questions but there are loads to sift through and would take me an age!

dont think being 30weeks pregnant and so so tired is helping! was hoping to have finished studying it all (5chapters left) so i could book sim for in a few weeks before exam results on monday/tuesday but think ill have a chapter or 2 left at this rate - was wanting to do this as i think dfs is going to be a resit and have mac exam in june too

thanks

I found Unit 17 very interesting, but also very much to take in as I do not work in auditing at the moment. I took the skilltest last Monday, but am quite sure I failed, so am looking out for the results, so I can book my resit.

There are a number of posts from Steve on the subject that might help. Have a look for posts from Steve Collings on these forums.

I also found his articles on the accountancy students a great help:

    http://www.accountancystudents.co.uk/news/headlines/C65/

Quite a few on there that do explain things in a bit easier terms!

Auditing is a lot to take in and rushing it won't help a single bit. If you get the accountancy rules and auditing rules you're quite far on your way to understand this unit.

If you realize what to test for in which case and why, and what the different auditing reports are, you got the main bits.

A lot is understanding, rather than just plain learning it by head, so you can't rush it, but got to make sure you understand the concepts and can apply them in the right situation!

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Cheers,
    Rinske
