Does anyone have the answers to the short test. Have returned to studies after 7 months and I am using my old premier training kit. Would like to mark it to see how I have done before I continue.

Now, don't shoot the messenger, but have you bought new books or checked for all changes? As there have been some changes to DFS if I remember correct. Mainly the new rules and regulation changes, so the book should not be completely out of date, but some of the terms have changed as well.

There is some information on the site here, but not sure if that includes everything for the past 7 years.

And I'm sorry, I don't have the answers to that test.

    Cheers,
    Rinske

Thanks for that. Yes I have bought the new books and have done the questions in them. Was just doing the extra work from premier training and adapting the layouts as necesary. Thanks anyway

Ah that makes sense. I'm sorry, I haven't got them. I have been slacking on DFS at the moment and still working my way through chapter 3.

I was just worried that you would go through the old books and then find out that everything changed when you started on the exam or one of the practice exams!

Oops was just looking on my Training CD and it says not to let other students have copies of answers as it is a breach of copyright!

Apologies to anyone who is going to sue me for this. I didnt know we werent allowed to do it

(I was only trying to help my fellow students) :blushing:

    Hi Kelly,

To be honest I am really struggling too (I feel there is so much to learn). I also think that as a Distance Learning Student it is harder. I know we have tutors we can email and phone but with Technician Level subjects I think it would probably be easier to understand things being at College as the tutors would probably go into things deeper than what we read in our Books. Are you doing DFS in June with any other subjects? I am also doing PTC and am trying to work between the two which also makes it more difficult.

I am only doing DFS in june booked exam last week today i am having serious doubts about it, im going to tackle my books tonight. I have done PEC And PEV about 2 years ago, only got auditting and cash management and the stupid project to do now

this will be my 3rd attempt and each time i have failed on section 2 just want to get it out the way cus the standards change this year and i only have until june 2011 to get it done and i dont want to do it all again

are u working through the books by chapter then going to the workbook??

Na I read the whole Tutorial Book and am now going back and studying in more depth each Chapter and doing the Workbook questions. I am away to start Consolidated Accounts in depth as I dont get them at all (wait a minute I think I have said that about every single part of DFS!) What bit are you doing at the minute?

just basically starting from scratch tonight i am beginning to wish i hadnt entered it now especially seeing as it is 13 weeks tomorrow! im unsure weather i will get enough done or not in time?? but i say this every year and i basically just do past papers over and over and over and over

last time i did it i didnt struggle with cash flows or consolidated accounts just the ratios and ias's but must of managed to do enough to pass that section!

i will start tonight with the tutorial book and see how i go

which part of consolidated do u not get and ill see if i can help u?
