Hi All

Just back from college to be told we have one more week of learning and the sylibus is completed problem am having is i feel like i know zero on the topic. Any advise on how people have tackled a subject on what they have no experience in the workplace would be great.

Or even if they are struggling as much as me please post.

Hi, i work in industry so didnt find MAC as bad as Im expecting to find DFS. Im a distance learner so I find I have to keep going over and over questions until they stick. I also read alot on here and use google a hell of a lot.

What is it with MAC your struggling most on? For me it was the Variances. Someone at Kaplan kindly emailed me a diagram which helped them stick in my head (long enough to pass the exam at least :))

I assume you did all the practice exams, found the mistakes you made, revised those, redid them and can dream them by now?

That's usually how I start when I finish the book and work my way from there. See weaknesses, focus on those, pick new weaknesses and so on...

Problem is you probably do this already, and I'm not sure what else to suggest.

i am strugling even though i work in industry but i think the problem is when i leave work my brain doesn't want to absorb anything. but when i read the books it seems to click but afterwards my brain still feels vacant. going to have to find the disk for the printer to get cracking on the mocks

It takes time, but eventually it will click..

It's a lot harder for someone in practice who doesn't deal with these things than say DFS will be etc..

    Just stick with it :)

(I did PEV & PCR in Dec)

I'm pretty sure it's Profit before interest & tax over Net assets?

    Not 100% tho it's been a while...

(Infact taht doesn't sound rgiht :( sorry)

    Agree

Another way you can express the profit is as Operating Profit (again divided by net assets)
