Hi

Please forgive this daft question but as I am not doing payroll (yet) I'm kind of teaching myself. I do payroll at work and our payday is Friday 23rd April. All the hours and over time have to be on the system by tomorrow so it can be sent of to be authorised. As my boss is stuck in Australia, I going it alone. I'm concerned that as its financial year end as well. Do I run the year end first then do payroll or can it wait until after? Beginning to panic a bit.

What is the worst that can happen?

I am sure he said don't worry about it until he got back....

Many Thanks

Jennie

If you are running a computerised system then you will need to complete all your year end procedures in order to start a new year.

If you're using a computerised package which one is it?

If you don't want to/can't process the year end, the only alternative you have is to run this month manually.

How many employees have you got?
