Can I just buy the book and study by myself or I must have a provider?

I'm thinking to do a simulation only unit by myself, but who would mark the simulation? can you send it to the AAT?

Is it possible? Thanks in advance.

Im not sure how this would work, probably worth giving the AAT a phone. I currently study distance learning with my tutor being over 120 miles away. The times when I have had to do a sim I have had to come into my work on a saturday with somebody who works with me who is qualified (I work for an accountancy firm) then they had to send the sim to my tutor for marking.

I think, but am not sure, that the BBP offers to just do the sims, without having to buy the whole unit.

AAT doesn't check simulations and doesn't offer the option either.

Might be helpful to give the BBP a ring or one of the other distance learning providers to see if they offer to just check the sims!

    Hi

I looked at this option a few years back and had the price list from BPP, It's not exactly cheap (I think it was about £60 each). I'm not sure what the exact arrangement is, for example I dont know if it includes retakes or setting of additional work if needed or tutor feedbacksupport etc. I suspect that tutor feedback will be minimal since you woouldnt be paying for tutor support.

The sims are marked by the approved centres/colleges and not the AAT, so there is no option to be able to do sims without some involvement from a centre/college.

i do this through BPP and it is £70 per sim now.

you need to have a supervisor for your sims.

email simulation@bpp.com and they should be able to help you

I do my simulations through BPP. You can just pay for each unit as you go and they charge me £75 per unit. You can either sit it at work if you have a supervisor or if not you can attend a BPP centre to sit them, when they have a sitting available.
