The statement of cash flows question is usually split into 2 requirements. The first task is to reconcile operating profit to net cash flow from operating activities. The second task is to do the actual statement, so you bring the final figure you calculate in the first task as the opening figure in the second task:
Net cash flow from operating activities (from the first task) - then
Investing Activities - then
Financing Activities.
