Hello Sandy
I Hope so you are fine . I know its a busy time of the year for you and you get lot of requests from the students . I am just wondering if you are doing any suggested answers for MAC Unit 33 2010.

Hello sandy thank you very much for the answers most of my answers are same as you but not on task 2.2. On task 2.2 (a) you have used actual sales units for Ratio ii and iii and i have used budgeted units because it wasn't clear which one to take. Secondly you have used Total production cost as cost of sales for only finished goods stock turnover in days i have used that for both . Thirdly your gearing ratio is 32.05% . My gearing ratio is coming as 47.16% total debt/ total equity 1250000/2650000= 47.16%
Over all sandy what do you think of this paper .Task 2.2 was bit unclear in my opinion0 -
In 2.2 I came to the conclution that this was actual costs so natually asumed you would have to use the actual sales?0

Stock turnover in days was one of our revision day topics
Stock of RM use closing stock of RM x 365 divided by production cost of raw materials
Stock of FG use closing stock of FG x 365 divided by cost of goods sold
Debt/Equity is another gearing ratio - but typical issues in costing are more likely to need a % figure for borrowing as a % of all the capital investedSandy

right if i have calculated debt/equity do you think i still get marks for it and what about using material sales unit instead of actual sales unit for ratio ii and iii do you think i still get marks for that.......... damn i haven't shown enough working on task 2.2 as well ... rest of the paper was ok but still finger crossed0
-
I would expect that debt/equity would be marked as pass
The others may have technique marks but not full marks
If the rest of the paper is good I would be confident that you passed
You were certainly good on the revision daySandy
