Students win the chance to kick-start their banking career with the eFinancialCareers Investment Challenge
Students from any UK or continental European university or business school are being offered a unique chance to kick-start a career in banking and finance today, by entering the eFinancialCareers.com Investment Challenge, sponsored by Credit Suisse.
The online trading game enables students hoping for a career in the financial markets to pit their skills against one another by virtually trading European and North American equities using a £10 million fantasy fund over the course of a month. Undergraduate students can register online at www.efinancialcareers.com/cschallenge. Registration for this year’s Challenge opens on 1 July and will close 16 July.
The Challenge not only offers an opportunity for budding young financiers to hone their trading skills, but also offers career-enhancing interviews to the leading students.
eFinancialCareers will announce the top three students in two separate categories: those graduating in 2012 and those graduating in 2013. Prizes include a Samsung N220 Netbook, an iPod Touch (32GB) or a Sony digital camera, plus the top three players in each year group will have the opportunity to be interviewed for the Credit Suisse Spring Programme for those graduating in 2013, or a Summer Internship for those graduating in 2012.
James Bennett, Managing Director EMEA and APAC for eFinancialCareers.com, said:
“The Investment Challenge offers a fantastic opportunity for employers to identify some of the best and brightest students in their field. We’re delighted that Credit Suisse are working with us again this year to help nurture young talent through this initiative.”
Jane Eccles, Head of Campus Marketing and Events at Credit Suisse, said:
“The eFinancialCareers Investment Challenge gives students an insight into trading and its skill requirements, as well as enabling Credit Suisse to engage with students who are considering a career in investment banking."
