Hi,

Regarding the above i am strugglin to find any examples with info such as, it takes 0.04 of an hour to make 1 item an there are 120 hours available. is there a process which can be carried to tell you how many items can be produced per hour to work out how to rank specici departments.

thanks for any help that can be given.

    As long as you know how long 1 item takes to make and you are given the total time available you will be able to work it out. Divide the total time by the time for one so, using your example - 120/0.04 = 3000 units could be made.

    I find it easier working it out in 2 sections;

    1/.04 = 25 (25 can be made in an hour)

    25 x 120hours = 3000
