HOrray - my unit 10 is all done and dusted off and on my SOA!! So glad to get that monkey off my back...lol
Now just the wait until 16th August for PCR and PEV..................

about 3 months - but only because I was doing my PCR and PEV as well. The help I received from the assessor was invaluable and even though I had many retypes of bits, once I submitted it, it was a big relief.

Unit 10 is my final thing to do.. I've done 800 words but just can't seem to get into it.. grr! Shouldn't have left it till the last minute!!

Jules, I'm sure you will be fine with the project! You got Kay from Premier to help you with it and she is just a star in it. Just really busy, so sometimes it seems to take a while before you get an answer.

Esme, if you got the subject, write the weaknesses and strengths and base everything else on that. I found it really helped me to drop it in the right form (with headed titles to see what I still needed) work from there. A lot of the words are made with the fraud and consistency (covering ill employees, computer backups) reports as well.

I have got my project signed off too! Reliefed and happy!
Now I just need positive result of DSF exam and I am done! Next stop ACCA...

Very disappointed with my tutor!

Hi guys, " Well done with your Unit 10",

I was not happy about my tutor. I asked her help regarding to give me a general comments towards my draft. But what she always telling me to look at the page 17 of my textbook. Well I did, I have the whole report I just want her support if I did cover the criteria but she just don't care.

Since enrolling Kaplan distance Learning, I never use my tutor or resources relying on the forum it is quicker and a lot of idea, the fact is I just email her first on how to start then second my whole draft.

Textbook in not much info or draft to make a report, if you guys want to take unit 10 I would not recommemd kaplan distancelearning or their textbook and I will never enrol my ACCA to them.
Only I need, Is if she can make a general comment into my draft but no help whatsoever after 3days of waiting. Now, I have to disturd my mentor, she is more expert than my tutor very kind, with her help with my AAT planning which resulted in a very good comments with my assessor.

hahah Lyn32 exactly what my tutor says and I complained about it several times to Kaplan! the book is absolutely pretty useless, page 17 only list the titles to use and a brief explanation, but nothing more! and by the way, I doubt if those titles are correct, as if you look at the other reports in the book, the titles have not been used!

A question for everybody: what did you write under the heading: "Implementation and Review"? apparently according to Kaplan, I must use this heading in my report to "evaluate the system again. This is where you will explain any problems in the introduction of the changes and analyse whether they have been successful in achieving their aims."....

Under inplementation and review in the booklet we were given at our college we were told:

After any recommendations have been introduced and trialled you need to once again evaluate the system.

This is where you will explain any problems in the introduction of the changes and analyse whether they have been successful in achieving thier aims.

You will need to ensure that you have managed your time effectively to allow for this to happen before completion of your project.

If your changes have not been instigated, or you are not allowed to make them then you need to inform your assessor as soon as possible so they can arrange to assess this by other means.

They may use other methods of assessment to make sure you can complete your project. They may give you a 'what if' scenario based upon your report and ask you to write the results against that. They may use question and answers which will be recorded or they may give you an interview with the verifier to ascertain your understanding.

I didn't write anything under that heading as I did the simulation and had an interview at the end of it to discuss my project and findings before being signed off.
