Quote bits of posts

When you are replying to a post how do you select bits from a post that you want to quote in your post. I always have to include the whole post when I 'reply with quote' as I dinna ken how to select bits?

    Delete the bits you dont want to be in the reply.

    the command


    can be used so you can basically quote everything and then separate it with the pieces you want

    lets say that the post is

    HELLO MY NAME IS MARGA
    if you quote all of it you would have
    HELLO MY NAME IS MARGA

    IF you do
    MY
    you can write in here what you want to say about just the word MY
    NAME
    you can write in here what you want to say about word NAME
    IS
    MARGA


    Just so you know i have left a space before the last bracket so you can see the command

    If you want to be tricky, you can also do

    BTW if you want to get BB Code tags to show and not be processed, surround them with [noparse][noparse] [/noparse][/noparse] – eg [noparse][noparse]

    Chris I think you'd be proud of me, lately I've been using HTML editing when posting job adverts to get bullet points. In fact I was so proud of myself I don't care whether you're proud of me or not!
