amateur operatic societies

Does anyone know of any legislation that requires small village amateur operatic societies (annual income approx £1.5K) to have their annual accounts independently inspected? The particular society I have in mind is not a registered charity, and I am assuming that its constitution does not include this requirement.

    As far as I am aware if this is not a charity, then there is no need for an independent inspection. Something like this is usually just handled with a committee. Hope that helps.
