Income from annuities

One of my clients has received approx £200 from an annuity in 2009/10. He is a higher rate tax payer and Abbey Life Assurance (who the annuity's with) has seemingly correctly stated on the P60 that the tax code is D0, however they haven't taken off any tax from the payments made to my client. Has anyone come accross this before? Are there elements of annuity income which aren't taxable?
