Integrated Book-keeping System

I've been reading about the Integrated Book-keeping System in the Osborne Costing Tutorial.
I've noticed that there is no Manufacturing Account used in this system. Presumably there is no need for one if you use this system, as the Finished Goods Account will show the production cost of goods completed.
Would a company using this Integrated Book-keeping System also keep a Manufacturing Account?
Any help would be much appreciated.
