Appointing a director

Is it quicker to post off form AP01 to appoint a director, or to request a copy of the authentication code online and then file the form electronically? My client is trying to open a bank account for a new Ltd Company but they won't open it until he's showing as a director with Companies House, and he's got avcheque to bank now, so need to act quick!

Post form today, and apply for a auth code.
If he's showing on Co House by the time the code arrives, the form was quicker!
It does take a few days for the bank's data to update from Co House, so expect a few days wait even after the change is showing on Co House.
Why can't the existing director sort the bank app if this chap isn't a director yet?0
