A new client is both employed and self employed, she attends various training courses to keep her up to date, her CPD requirement as she's a Chartered Statistician.
Obviously these costs aren't soley for her self emplyment, would it be possible to apportion them between employment and self employment or are they simply not allowable?

I would argue that she needs to do her CPD in order to be able to trade, and even if she weren't employed she would incur the same costs. Therefore I'd say they were 100% allowable. But then, that might be the Malibu talking (why am I even here?) ok I'm off to paint the kitchen....0
