Help please trying to do some figure analysis for a project and I can't remember if I am doing it right
I have 2010 figure of 2455.60 and a 2009 figure of 5254.05 with a diff of (2798.45) how do I show the diff as a %

Divide the difference by the original number.

think about this as ...
2009 figure was 5254.05
2010 figure was 2455.60
which is quite a lot less (nearly half of it) so the % should be around the 50%
that is the explanation
to do it with calculations as PGM said
(5254.05 - 2455.60)/5254.05 = 2798.45/5254.05 = 0.5326 so *100 gives you a % of 53.26%0 -
Ah yeah, I made the rubbish mistake of getting the years mixed up to get to 100%.

thank u for your answers _ I actually got there in the end by sheer persistance based on knowing it had to be more than 50%
and don't worry about BTC like I said somewhere else on managed to pass first time so it mustn't be that hard lol0
