Is anyone a student member in practice? Im interested in starting up, just offering bookkeeping until I can finish AAT. Any suggestions for software and PII?
Thanks !

Didn't think you could become a MiP without being a qualified member?
You can do work outside of AAT however you can make no reference to AAT, or being a member of AAT (at least this is what i thought...)0 -

A student member can work for themselves offering accounting services as long as:
They only do work in which they are competent
They do not make reference to the AAT
Once they become MAAT, they apply for the MIP scheme.
There is no obligation to get PII, though it is advisable. It is compulsory once registered as a MIP.
Bookkeeping software, look at VT Transaction+ and Solar Accounts. I can get you a discount on the latter.0 -
You also need to abide by the AAT's guidelines on professional ethics, which can be downloaded here;
