You are are number .... in the queue

Hi Folks

Any time I try to ring AAT they are very slow in answering. I am having to ring because they are so slow in answering e-mails.

Anyway - I ring and get an automated voice - 'you are position 5 in the queue - estimated time to wait will be 7 minutes'. I hold on and over the next little while keep getting the same message - my position is still 5 and even though 7 mins has passed, there is still 7 mins estimated time to answer.

Does anyone else have this experience? I hate to think what this is doing to my phone bill!

I've only had to phone them once and got through quite quickly.

The time is - as you said - estimated, the people before could stay on the phone longer etc so there's no guarantee you'll be answered within 5 minutes.

I've phoned a few times & they've always been faster to answer than the estimated time on the machine, so don't give up.(They're also much more helpful & informed than some of the other accounting bodies!)
