Hello,
I'm new to the forum and have just started learning Level 4 through the new AAT standards. Has anybody taken a CBE yet for the new standards for Financial Statements? How did everybody else find the old paper exams, anything in particular that always comes up?
I think it's going to take a rather large miracle for me to pass this unit first time!! :-(
Rebecca.

have you done the online assessments/simulations yet? Not done the CBE yet and i assume there is no deadline for these, we can just book them up when we feel ready to do them?0

I have done the first two assignments, just in the middle of the third trying to get my head around the consolidations. Have you done any of the assignments? I'm with Premier Training and my CBE exam on my deadline is pencilled in for middle December although I would prefer to take this earlier as long as I think I'm properly prepared etc.0

Hi Rebecca, just wanted to say i am going to start financial statements this week. How did you find it?0

Hi Becky, I haven't actually finished Financial Statements yet I am just in the middle of it. It is a lot to take in and I think there are many areas where you can 'trip up' so to speak. I'm just trying to understand everything and get through it. Good luck with your studying!0

I did Financial Statements in June (I am old-fashioned as I did paper based) so cant comment on the CBE's. I quite liked DFS in the end towards exam time and more so when I passed!
I am sitting MAC and BTC in Nov (paper based) and am finding MAC more difficult than DFS but I think most people say that.0 -
