Hi All
i have a bit of a question am just doing a whole year payroll for a new client and having a blank moment.
Their holidays run 1 Oct - 30th Sept
An employee went on maternity leave August last year and left on 26/04/2010.
now she would have worked 35 Hrs per week and has not taken any holidays as on maternity leave.
will she be entitled to back paid holidays?
do you work out the holidays as she was working which i worked out at 111.2 hours due or do you work it out on the maternity pay??
Thanks in advance
Vic

right sorry found out!
Might as well post it though someone might find it useful
Holiday entitlement
You build up all your entitlements to paid holiday through all of your Statutory Maternity Leave. This is even if your employment contract says you are entitled to more than the statutory minimum.
You can add holiday to the beginning or end of your Statutory Maternity Leave. You may not be able to carry over untaken holiday entitlement if your Statutory Maternity Leave goes over two holiday years. It is often best to take this at the beginning of your Statutory Maternity Leave.0 -
Thanks for letting us know the answer, I have a client with an employee on SMP at the moment so it's saved me having to look it up!!0

My friend was asking me last night about getting pregnant twice and the answer is there.
Q. What happens if you become pregnant again
A: If you become pregnant again during Statutory Maternity Leave, you have the right to take further Statutory Maternity Leave for your next child.
