NIC holiday

I've just registered a new client (who's starting a Ltd Co) for PAYE and have received a note about the NIC holiday which is avaliable for new businesses. Apparently it applies to the first 5 employees and can include directors, so I'm wondering whether there's any circumstanses where it'll be beneficial to increase director's pay over the usual £500 a month to take advantage of this scheme? I'm thinking probably not and will do some calculations when I get a chance, but has anyone else looked into this yet?

I think we'd all be interested to know how the NIC holiday will affect tax planning so any info someone's already worked out would be good!

I list forums like this as CPD. You learn things. It counts!
